I'm saddened that it didn't bring the success the developer had hoped for, as this game is very well made and it deserves better. And being given away for free means you can't beat the price, of course. Yes, it's very short and the gameplay isn't overly taxing, but it's highly atmospheric... creepy and mysterious.
When it's free and can be partially treated as a demo/teaser, I can heartily recommend it. You can check my review here: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Aydaylin/recommended/772060/. Really nice 1-2 hour experience with an ending a bit too much like for a demo, not a standalone chapter.
Regarding the achievements: If you have acquired the game outside of steam, the steam integration won't be functional. It is a different version of the game. As a result, the achievements are not available.
The review is based on game downloaded and played on Steam 2-3 days ago, so the achievements should work for me ("successfully redeemed a retail CD key for this product and added it to your Steam library").
I may offer a suggestion of an easy to implement (really, just dialog) slight improvement for the ending, but posting it in open is too much of a spoiler. As I don't see a way to PM you here, please befriend me on Steam, if interested.

Hi! I got this during the "It is spring time" sale. I noticed the page says all copies come with a steam key, but I can't seem to find mine.
The Steam key will only be available with a purchase. Due to Steam policy, it is not allowed to give away free keys.
